WCYG-Wymondham Catholic Youth Group.

The WCYG meet on the last Saturday of each month, during term times.
The sessions take place straight after the Vigil Mass in the mdeeting Room until 9:00pm and focus on food, fun and building friendships.
All youth of secondary age upwards are most welcome especially the new year 7 starters .

Our Irish Evening.

Thank you to all who attended our Irish evening and managed to keep it a lovely birthday surprise for Father Denis!

Thanks especially to Robert & Nina for inviting Jim, who entertained us so well, and for their wonderful effort in decorating the hall, and also to Chrissie for making the delicious cake.

It was a delight listening to all the Limericks and poems and songs, what a creative parish we are - in particular we thank David Harrison for his wonderful tale of Ethel, taking over the Papacy in Rome!

Finally to our young people, for being so brave in amusing us; we share their wonderful prose here for you to enjoy, if you were among those unable to attend.

Fr Denis is very funny.
His cat Ethel is sweet as honey.
He came from Ireland on a ferry
Finds cat treats at Waitrose quite merry.
It's no wonder he doesn't have much money.

There once was a priest called Fr Denis, who came over from Ireland on a ferry, to accompany the very merry,

Now although he's normally four minutes late, we always forgive him because he's so great.

Welcome to Deacon Peter Ho

Deacon Peter Ho joined our parish on Friday 16th January and will be ministering in our parish for the next five months or so. Please God, he will be ordained to the Priesthood for the Diocese of East Anglia in the Cathedral on Saturday, 4th July.
